Serge spends a fortune on a piece of modern art that to the ‘untrained eye’ looks like a blank, white canvas.
His friend Marc, considers it utter rubbish, is appalled that Serge thinks differently and feels it calls into question their whole friendship…“I love Serge, but I can’t love the Serge that bought that painting!”
Yvan, stuck in the middle, attempts to placate both friends, yet only succeeds in antagonising them further.
Lines are drawn and these old friends square off over the canvas. As their arguments become less theoretical and more personal, they border on destroying their friendships.
In a humorous way ART explores the fragility & politics of friendship, aswell as the subjective nature of art. Can ART really come between friends?”
